The best Samsung phone of the year is not the Galaxy S20 Ultra or the Note 20 Ultra. It's actually the Galaxy A51. How and why is this phone so good that it's Samsung's best-selling phone globally or I should say the best 2020 android phone globally. It's a list where we don't see any Samsung S or Note series phones at all. It's time to break it down and see what makes this phone special looking at the Galaxy A51.
REASON WHY IT'S BEST !
Now I think the biggest success of this phone comes down to two things and that is VALUE and TIMING the Galaxy A51 and the S20 FE are the only Samsung phones this year where I can comfortably say that the value is delivered. The simple reason why there is no Galaxy S or Note series in this list is because of the high pricing that most people can't afford to pay.
PRICING and SPECS
Galaxy A51 actually costs less than $300. This phone definitely is a super budget friendly phone but what made this phone stand out compared to the other brand's mid-range phone is its flagship looking design and one constant software that Samsung brings no matter what Samsung phone you buy. Whether it's a flagship or a mid-range phone and that is the ONE UI. Because of the similar things a lot of people are actually satisfied by using the A51.They don't really feel the need to switch to a flagship phone. The Galaxy A51 closely resembles the design of the S20. The flat 1080p 60Hz amoled display has great colors and honestly it looks slightly more bezel-less than the S20 FE that I tried out a couple of days ago.

CAMERA
There's a quad camera on the back that is pretty versatile. You get lenses from macro to zoom to ultra wide to wide and then on the front we have a 32 megapixel front camera. These cameras can do a pretty good job outdoors. If you want high resolution images you can switch to the 48 megapixel mode. As always Samsung image processing with the highlights and the detail is on point. With the A51 if you're shooting outdoors or if you have a decent lighting situation then most of the time this phone will do a pretty good job.
CHIPSET and PERFORMANCE
Now it's coming with the Exynos 9611 chip. It does a good job at keeping the performance smooth. Samsung has done some good optimization as well but still it is a mid-range chip and when you have like 5-6 apps open in the background and you try to scroll through the web there is this occasional lag or delay. As far as the gaming is concerned you can play pretty much any game on this phone from medium to high settings.
BATTERY
The best part about this chip is that it is really power efficient which is why this phone is like a solid one day contender. When it comes to the battery performance the Galaxy A51 almost gives a 7-8 hour screen on time consistently and I think this is one of the biggest reasons why people have been satisfied with this phone. It also rocked 25 watts of fast charging. There's a headphone jack. I mean the A51 has a lot of things covered at this price range.
Samsung is still providing you a lot of value but let's be honest the other big factor of A51 success is its timing. This one was announced like really in the beginning of 2020 that gave this phone a pretty early start in the sales compared to the OnePlus Nord or the latest iPhone SE which is by the way slowly climbing the sales.

IS GALAXY A51 WORTH IT ?
The Galaxy A51 is also widely available in more regions which is why it's also having a lot more sales. The question is the Galaxy A51 worth it? At this point in time it doesn't have 5G. It doesn't have a 90 Hz refresh rate. It doesn't have a flagship camera like the Pixel or a flagship chip like the iPhone SE. I mean depending on your market this phone might still be like 30 or 20% cheaper than the OnePlus Nord or iPhone SE or the Pixel 4A but if you can't afford to pay more money then I think those phones are providing a lot more features.
I'm really excited for the Galaxy A52 next year. Let's see what Samsung does. They absolutely have to bring the refresh rate to 90 Hz and also use a stronger processor. I feel like the successor to this phone is going to be an even better phone when it comes to the sales.
So yeah that was my breakdown of Samsung's best-selling phone of this year let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. And as always I'll catch you guys in the next one. Peace Out.
